Custom Collections

1. REPROCELL’s Biorepository Capabilities

The first option for providing specimens is our Bioserve Global Biorepository. We have over 600,000 biospecimens that were collected on four continents from various nationalities and ethnicities. The samples were collected from ≈120,000 unique donors under a strict Institutional Review Board (IRB). All the samples in our global biorepository are anonymized and deidentified with no link to the donor. Each sample has extensive demographic data, including three generations of ethnicity and cancer history, in addition to clinical information; all the information is collected using a Case Report Form (CRF). We obtain donor consent for all samples used for medical research, commercial research, and nucleic acid analysis, including sequencing and expression analysis. Biospecimens are also available from over 10,000 healthy controls for conducting matched case-control studies.

If a client requests samples that we have in our biorepository, we’re able to pull, pack, and ship the samples within one (1) business day upon receiving the purchase order.

REPROCELL’s biorepository includes an inventory of biospecimens from the following indications:

All materials are securely stored with minimal potential for power disruptions:

• Fresh frozen tissues are stored in liquid nitrogen freezers in the vapor phase at −190°C
• Serum, plasma, and RNA are stored in −80°C freezers
• DNAs are stored in −20°C freezers
• FFPE blocks are stored at room temperature

2. REPROCELL’s Health Clinic and Hospital Specimen Procurement Partnerships

If we don’t have the desired tissue samples in-house, our team then consults with our health clinics and hospital partnerships through the Bioserve Partner Network.

In addition to our global biorepositoryʼs inventory of hundreds of thousands of specimens, our network has a vast and diverse range of human tissue samples. With our partner network, we have created a single point of contact for the research community, providing access to over 1.5 million biospecimens.

3. REPROCELL’s Custom Collection and Banking Services

Even with so many biospecimens available through our Bioserve Partner Network, we occasionally receive requests for samples that we don’t have on hand. In these situations, our sample collection services can fulfil our clientsʼ needs. Through Bioserve Custom Prospective Sample Collections, we can ask our entire partner network to explore their inventories in multiple locations so that we can quickly locate donors, and obtain the specific samples you require. If the samples are out there, we can find them.

In our prospective sample collections, we can provide customized CRFs that specify the exact sample data you need. We can also prepare your specimens according to your own protocols and requirements. We provide short- to long-term specimen storage, either at REPROCELL’s state-of-the-art banking facility or at the sample collection site. And, when you are ready to receive them, we can ship your custom biospecimens directly from the storage location to your facility.

REPROCELL’s Tissue Sourcing Ethical Standards

We maintain a strict ethical standard at every step of our collection processes. You can trust that your samples are obtained ethically from start to finish:

1. Institutional Board Review (IBR) approval is obtained for all collection sites and protocols prior to enrolling subjects, and all collection processes are HIPAA-compliant.
2. Informed Consent is obtained from each participant who contributes a clinical specimen. REPROCELL obtains re-consent should a participant voluntarily participate in a longitudinal study.
3. Barcoded Data and Specimens include anonymized samples that lack identifiers which might link a sample to an individual. REPROCELL utilizes both 1D and 2D barcoding according to client wants and needs and packaging size and constraints.
