Cell Isolation and Enrichment

Primary Cell Derivation

We provide robust and reliable primary cell derivation services, generating high-quality cell populations directly from fresh human biospecimens.

Primary cells more closely reflect native human biology than immortalised cell lines, making them highly valuable for applications such as:

Cell Derivation Methods

 Our primary cell isolation workflows are tailored to the biospecimen type and specific research objectives, using established and optimised methodologies to ensure high-quality cell recovery.  

Density Gradient Centrifugation

 Density gradient centrifugation is a widely used and reliable method for isolating mononuclear cells from blood-derived samples.

  • Compatible with a broad range of sample volumes
  • Rapid processing times, typically within 2–4 hours
  • High cell viability and recovery rates

Tissue Dissociation and Cell Culture

For solid tissues such as skin tissue, we apply enzymatic and chemical dissociation techniques to isolate key cell types, including:

  • Keratinocytes
  • Melanocytes
  • Dermal fibroblasts

Following isolation:

  • Cells are expanded in controlled culture systems
  • Cryopreserved at low passage numbers
  • Available for downstream applications, including 2D and 3D models
