MSC NutriStem® XF Medium is a defined, serum-free, xeno-free culture medium designed for optimal growth and expansion of human mesenchymal stem/stromal cells (hMSCs) derived from a variety of sources, including bone marrow (BM-MSCs), adipose tissue (AT-MSCs) and umbilical cord matrix (UC-MSCs). MSC NutriStem® XF Medium supports the long-term growth of hMSCs while maintaining their self-renewal and multi-lineage differentiation potential.
Notes:
- The complete MSC culture system includes this Basal Medium and MSC NutriStem XF Supplement Mix (05-0061).
- This medium contains Phenol Red. The basal medium is also available in a Phenol Red-free formulation (01-0007).
hMSCs cultured in MSC NutriStem XF Medium show superior proliferation and self-renewal potential in comparison to serum-containing media and other commercial serum-free media. In addition, hMSCs maintain their proper fibroblast-like cell morphology and tri-lineage differentiation potential, and they demonstrate normal hMSC marker profiles and karyotypic stability over long-term culture.
