iMatrix-332 Corneal Epithelial Cell Culture Substrate

NP892-031 / NP892-032

Brand: iMatrix™

iMatrix-332 is a highly purified and refined product of human recombinant laminin-332 (E8 fragment) expressed by CHO-S cells. Laminin 332 supports cells in the epithelial basement membranes, lining the surfaces of the body such as the skin, hair follicles, oral cavity, gastrointestinal and urinary tracts, lungs, and different glands.

Product Information

iMatrix-332's features make it an ideal matrix for some cell culture applications:

  • Xeno-free formulation / CHO-S cell bioproduction
  • Easy to use (liquid format)
  • E8-fragments retain integrin binding specificity and capacity, and display higher potency than natural Laminin-221

iMatrix-332 is a highly purified and refined product of human recombinant laminin-332 (E8 fragment) expressed by CHO-S cells. Laminin 332 supports cells in the epithelial basement membranes, lining the surfaces of the body such as the skin, hair follicles, oral cavity, gastrointestinal and urinary tracts, lungs, and different glands. The association of cells with laminin 332 occurs through α3β1 integrin in focal adhesions and α6β4 in stable anchoring contacts, which contain an assembly of hemidesmosome proteins.

Laminin-332 is an important component of the "skin basement membrane" that exists between the epithelium and dermis of the skin, and is also expressed in human retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) and hair follicle cells.
