RSC book publication: Human-based systems for translational research

Biopta's CEO publishes a review of functional human tissue assays in a new book entitled "Human-based systems for translational research", edited by Dr Robert Coleman and published by the Royal Society of Chemistry.

RSC-book-cover-1

The book covers all aspects of human tissue research, from ethical procurement of tissues to functional assays such as precision-cut tissue slices, 3-D models and stem cells. It also looks at the potential for human-based test systems to improve clinical success rates, in particular the opportunity to increase phase II and III success by improved prediction of efficacy.

Dr Bunton's chapter can be downloaded from the RSC website.
