Human vascular permeability measurements in vitro
Microvascular function is key in the regulation of blood pressure and vascular tone, however, disruption to microvascular function, is a factor in many diseases. Adverse drug effects may manifest through changes in microvascular function causing angioedema or vasodilatation. This article highlights the ability of Biopta's PM-1 system to provide accurate and sensitive measures of vascular function that can be used as a predictive in vitro model for vascular permeability.
