REPROCELL launched its first commercial cardiomyocyte product, ReproCardio, in 2009. Our current ReproCardio technology does not employ any genetic engineering or artificial selection. As a consequence, the cells are more natural than most competitors and the purity can reach about 60-75%. This is sufficient for sheet contractility and nearly 100% beating of spheroid format aggregates. The residual cardio-fibroblast-like cells actually add stability and structure which is arguably more similar to the authentic in vivo environment.
