Business Development Manager, Drug Discovery

Massachusetts, USASales & Marketing

The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage with clients (pharma and biotech companies) to drive sales for the drug discovery service business, with a primary focus on preclinical human tissue assay services in the eastern block of the United States.

This candidate will require knowledge and experience in preclinical drug discovery, be focused and have strong communication skills. They should be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy.

The successful applicant will preferably have the following attributes:


  • Identify and lead business opportunities
  • Develop new relationships in an effort to grow business and help company expand
  • Maintain existing business


  • MSc pharmacology, physiology, immunology, toxicology or related fields preferred
  • 3–4 years' prior industry in CRO, biotech/pharmaceutical company or other relevant business development experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
  • Focused and goal-oriented
