The importance of internships for life science students

If you are a science student nearing the end of your university program, developing your professional network in order to land a good job is a daunting task.  In this video, Zara Puckrin and Karen Bingham talk about Zara's experience interning at REPROCELL's Glasgow research lab and the benefits of internships for university students.

“It’s single best thing I’ve probably done during my time at university, and you get paid for it!”

REPROCELL had the pleasure of welcoming Zara into our facilities for 10 weeks over the summer as part of the Life Sciences Internship Programme run by Skills Development Scotland. Not only was this a great experience for Zara but this was of great use to REPROCELL. Zara played a big part in creating one of our marketing campaigns, promoting an area within our fresh human tissue drug discovery services.  Writing blogs, creating marketing materials and articles were only some of the projects Zara completed during her time with REPROCELL. Allowing a student to see all areas within a business can open their eyes to possible avenues for a career following university. REPROCELL looks forward to welcoming our next student and hopes they have as much energy and success as Zara.
