Disease Focus: Neuroscience
With the global aging population, neurodegenrative diseases such as Alzheimers and general dementia are becoming increasingly important due to the huge cost burden these disorders place on health care. However research for nerve regeneration, and other crippling diseases such as ALS are also promising areas being addressed with regenerative medicine approaches.
REPROCELL offers iPSC-derived human neurocytes, Alzheimer disease cells and custom-derived neurons for disease modeling and other applications. Available are support media for iPSC and human neuronal cell culture (some products shown below). Human brain cancer and head & neck cancer specimens are available from BioServe tissue resources, and contract research services from the Centre for Predictive Drug Discovery (formerly Biopta) can include neurite outgrowth and other bio-assays using iPSC-derived human neurons in vitro.
